PetGiftBox Small Dog Box Review July 2016 plus 50% Off Coupon Code

PetGiftBox always has a fun theme for their dog boxes each month. July's theme is "The Big Chill" and has some fun, beachy treats and toys. This review is for the small dog box since I have two rat terriers that are about 18 pounds each. My boys love plush toys with squeakers and pretty much any treat.

The Cost: $28.99/month

What You Get: Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and other great products that have been hand picked for your pet.

The Bear and the Rat Fro Yo to Go Freeze Dried Yogurt Treats- These are sweet potato and carrot flavored yogurt treats. Since those are two of my dogs favorite things, I have no doubt they'll love these.

Isle of Dogs Chillout Treats- These treats are made with lavender and lemon balm with the hope that it will calm dogs during thunderstorms, separation, etc. I'm not sure how the science on that works (it probably doesn't) but my boys have never said no to treats of any kind!
Multipet Chilly Bone- I wish my dogs were more into rubber toys! This would be so fun. Get it wet, toss it in the freezer. Once it's nice and cold give it to a hot dog to enjoy.

Flip Flop Rope Toy- Neither dog expressed an interest in this toy. I think it may have been just a little bit too big. Instead I gave it to a friends German Shepherd mix and he was quite happy to throw it around. It kiiinda made me want a big dog.
Life's a Beach Ball- You can probably imagine the state of Bugsy's mind when I took this photo. This is pure torture for him since balls are his first favorite thing (he likes balls more than food sometimes). He's trying so hard not to look at it because if he looks at it he might bite it and then I wouldn't be happy with him for breaking his "wait." He was a good boy, though, and didn't do it. Sadly, my boys are tough on toys. This one was dissected in less than a minute and the fluff spread across the office. Bugsy is kinda bad when it comes to this sort of thing.

VERDICT: This box was kind of a dud in the toy department. The treats will be enjoyed, though. If you have a dog that is really hard on toys, I think you might want to look through my older reviews and get a good idea of what is sent. Do keep in mind, though, if you have a larger dog, you'll likely get different toys that may be tougher.
