Box of Style Fall 2016 by Rachel Zoe and The Zoe Report Review and $10 Coupon

Box of Style commands a space on my "Top Ten" favorite subscription boxes because it's fashion oriented and always worth the cost for me. Each box will have fashion items, beauty products and a styling tool. There's always a "hero" item which is usually worth a large portion of the box value. The Fall 2016 box is unique in that it has a jewelry item from Rachel Zoe's own line! I know a lot of us have been hoping for that. Here's to more of all that in the coming month!

When this box first came out I decided to subscribe for the Annual subscription and I'm so glad I did. It's a savings of $50 which is nice, especially when I have liked every box.

The actual box that everything comes in has a flip lid with a magnetic closure. It is eminently re-usable which is perfect. Not only that but every thing inside is individually wrapped. It's like a birthday present!

Donni Charm x The Zoe Report Color Block Wonder Cape- This is a super soft, wool blend cape. It's very lightweight, much lighter than I was expecting. I wasn't too sure about it when I saw the spoiler and the terrible video with styling tips. Now that I have it, I can say that it's not nearly as unflattering as what was shown in the video. It actually looks great as an actual cape, too, draped off the shoulders.

I don't think I would ever belt it but there's lots of ways to wrap it. It's thin enough that it actually can double as a big scarf. Would I pay $200 for it in real life? Oh, hell no. But I like it enough to keep it and wear it.

B-Low the Belt Gatsby Wrap Belt- This is designed to do a double wrap around your waist so it's really, really long. I don't wear a whole lot of belts, I have to admit. I'm not sold on this quite yet, I need to do a little more experimenting. It's real leather which I love and the tassels take it up a notch. I feel like I'm going to keep it to force myself to find a use for it. I'm so short, though, that I try not to cut myself in half with belts.

It Cosmetics Vitality Lip Blush Hydrating Gloss Stain- That's quite the mouthful. If you logged in to your account, you got to choose your color. I picked Mauve-alous Darling. This goes on smoothly with zero stickiness. While the glossy shine fades, the color does not. I'm happy with this.

It Cosmetics Brow Pow- This is an eyebrow pencil in a universal taupe color. I already have one of these and I find that it's too dry, almost crumbly for me. The color works but I'm just not a fan of the application.

Hollywood Fashion Secrets Lint Removing Sheets- There's always something like this in each box. This brand has been in here before, too, though not every time. I like it because I'd never purchase these on my own because I wouldn't think about it. Getting it like this is nice because now I'll have them when I need them. Yay for de-linting!

Rachel Zoe Tassel Bracelet- This is where I wish there was more information included in the booklet. I have no idea what this is made out of. Based on her website I think it's 14k gold plated (there's a ring that looks similar to this bracelet). This is not really my style but I could definitely see it as part of a stack. It's exclusive to Box of Style, too, and it mentions this is the only way to get one!

VERDICT: It's always easy for me to like Box of Style. Even if I don't like everything, I can gift what isn't my style really easily. I'm really happy that I ended up liking the cape since it's the hero item. It's perfect for Fall weather. I think this box was well curated, either way. Even the lint sheets make sense-- you know, in case your cape gets linty. This box tends to take me out of my comfort zone a lot and I'm glad it does. My outfits have gotten a lot more fun since I started getting this.
