Snakku December 2016 Review and Coupon

Snakku sends premium Japanese snacks from small and large snack shops found only in Japan. In fact, this month, my box arrived from there! This month the theme is Winter and introduces some holiday treats. These snacks come primarily from the Nagano and Gifu provinces. Both areas are snowy and have natural onsen hot springs to enjoy. Nagano used to be home to many Ninja schools (some are still there and can be visited!)
There are now two options when choosing a Snakku box. You can get the regular Snakku box with ten to fifteen of the best and most authentic Japanese snacks you can get or you can get the Tasting Box. The Tasting Box is smaller and has 5-7 tasty snacks in it. There's a box for every budget and I'm really happy about that. This review is for the regular Snakku box.

The Cost: $38.95/month for the Snakku Box. $15.95/month for the Tasting Box

What You Get: Get a collection of 10-15 hand-picked snacks that you can only find in Japan,
along with a selection of familiar & delicious Japanese snacks delivered every month.

SweetsGiftBox Subscription Box Review December 2016 plus 50% Off Coupon

SweetsGiftBox is under the new subscription umbrella of TheGiftBox. This venture started with PetGiftbox which I've reviewed extensively over the last year. They've now restructured and plan to have several different types of subscriptions with both PetGiftBox and SweetsGiftBox being part of them.

I believe this is the first SweetsGiftBox so it's still in it's early stages. I wasn't expecting such a big box so I was very curious about the contents when it arrived. I'm used the the much smaller boxes of Treatsie and OrangeGlad.

The Cost: $25/month

What You Get: Every month you'll receive a selection of 4-5 sweets ranging from crunchy, chewy, chocolate, fruity or salty.

Kloverbox December 2016 Review and Coupon

Kloverbox is dedicated to providing a healthy, natural alternative to products you need to use every day.  They search for the best, most useful natural, organic and eco-friendly brands and send you full sizes and samples each month.

One of the things I love about it is that this box is about more than beauty.  It's about helping you live a sustainable and eco-friendly life as well.  So you'll receive fun lifestyle products as well as skincare and beauty goodies.

Each box will arrive carefully packaged and with an information card to tell you about the products you're receiving and how they are made.  It will also provide you with coupons in case you fall in love with something and need more.

The Cost: $25/month

What You Get: Receive 6-8 premium products to sample, each from top brands and hand-picked by our health conscious curators in beauty, health, nutrition and home categories.

My Texas Market December 2016 Specialty Subscription Box Review and Coupon

I always seem to find something in a My Texas Market box that I need more of. This time it's marshmallows. Homemade marshmallows. So insanely good. This is a subscription that focuses on Texan makers and artisans. If you like to shop local (although Texas isn't local for me, it is local for the subscription curators) or if you love farmer's market goodies, this is going to be just your style!
The theme this month is all about the holidays. We celebrate Christmas around here and it's been a little less "Christmas-y" than normal because of packing up a lot of our belongings. This box was just what I needed!
So much good stuff!

The Cost: $35/month plus shipping (It's $44.90 total to WA)

What You Get: A combination of wholesome and homemade specialty food products, handmade candles, soaps, or other beauty products or other health and wellness items and/or sustainably-sourced coffee and tea, unique crafts or locally made chocolates and candies.

Box of Style by Rachel Zoe Winter 2016 Review and $20 Coupon

I love this box so much I got two. For gifting! Box of Style is one of my top five favorite boxes. The value is always incredible and there really aren't that many "style" boxes out there that have the klout that Rachel Zoe does. Plus they always release the "hero" item in time for everyone to decide if that season's box is going in a direction they would like. For the winter box, it is a Dylanlex Exclusive "Zoey"  necklace that couldn't be more my style. I love it.
When I saw the second spoiler, I decided to buy another box because it was shaping up to be fabulously giftable.

The Cost: $100/quarter

What You Get: At least five products worth over $300 in fashion, beauty and lifestyle carefully curated by Rachel Zoe and her team.

TooFaced Mystery Bag 2016 Cyber Monday Deal Review

TooFaced has started releasing Mystery Bags on Cyber Mondays. I snagged last years and loved it so I stayed up til midnight to snag the 2016 version. It was touted as being the "best mystery bag yet" but *cough* in my opinion that is an overstatement of reality.
This bag is $39.95 and you can only purchase one at a time. It's not a subscription like I usually review, it's just a one time purchase so there's no worries about cancelling or anything like that. And everyone's bag is the same, no variations.

Here's what we got:

Popsugar Must Have Limited Edition Holiday 2016 Women's Box Review

If there's one thing I've learned about Popsugar, it's that the Holiday Limited Edition is always the best. While the other ones spread out over the year are good, the Holiday ones are consistently great. At least for me. If you're going to buy one limited edition box a year, your best bet is going to be this one.
I've had to start taking my photos in the sitting room because we've been packing up slowly but surely. So, that's Dexter sitting on our new sheepskin we got while we were in New Zealand (best trip eveeerrr!).
This is a one time purchase so you're not signing up for anything recurring. You do not have to be a current subscriber to buy one. Once the spoilers come out, they tend to go fast. The good thing is that if you don't love everything in it, the contents make excellent gifts.

The Cost: $100/box

What You Get: Our Limited Edition boxes are filled with the most luxe surprises, exclusive products, and special collaborations. Only available during select times throughout the year, this is the perfect gift for someone special (including yourself!).

Put a Bow On It Canadian Women's Lifestyle Subscription Box Review December 2016 plus 10% Off Coupon

Put a Bow On It is a newer Canadian subscription box that sends a range of items from beauty and accessories to home goods and books. It fills a much needed gap in Canadian subscriptions and makes an especially good gift since the presentation is marvelous.
Every box is beautifully wrapped with, of course, a bow on it! The wrapping paper has been of excellent quality and every box has looked almost too good to open. This one especially! I'm terrible at wrapping presents so I'm a little jealous of the talent whoever wrapped this box has.
The December theme for this Premium box is "Christmas Wish" and it has one of my new favorite things in it! This turned out to be an excellent box for me.

The Cost: The Premium Box is $59.99 CAD and the Deluxe box is $39.99 CAD plus shipping

What You Get: You'll find goodies ranging from jewelry and makeup to home decor, technology and baking. The Premium box has a value up to $150 CAD and the Deluxe up to $100 CAD.

What's Been Going On...

Hey, everyone! You've probably noticed I've been posting less frequently. It's not because I'm lazy! We are in the middle of a transition with my husband's job which means potentially moving out of state. Eeek! Scary.

This means we need to have the house ready to sell at a moments notice and that means a LOT of cleaning and fixing and replacing, etc. Basically, a lot of work that takes me away from my obsession with subscription boxes and my blog.

So if you're wondering what's going on, that's what's happening. I may not be able to actually review the backlog that will occur but I do plan to keep up as much as possible on Instagram because it's easier. You can follow me there if you're not already (@bits.and.boxes).

Here's what else it means, though! I will (hopefully) have a new, huge, wonderful, light-filled studio for photos and... da da daaaaaa... YouTube videos! So those of you who have followed me there will get getting a renewed taste of videos a la Sarah. And preferably with a face, not just hands, since there should be enough room to spread out.

I'm guessing that won't seriously start until February. I'm going to try to keep up with coupon codes and Christmas sales but it won't be as instant as it has been in the past. So much depends on so much! It's possible it may not happen for a few months but I want to be as prepared as possible.

So, thank you for following, commenting and/or stopping by for Memebox coupons! I've scaled back and I'll be off and on sporadically. Not helping matters were our trip to New Zealand in late October and our upcoming trip to the Netherlands. When things are non-refundable, everything else can just work out around it. hah! I'm excited to go. I should post up a few things about how much fun Hobbiton and New Zealand was. That was a trip of a lifetime!

XOXO,
Sarah
