Happy Rebel Box Winter 2016 Review plus Spring Spoilers and Coupon!

This review for Happy Rebel Box is SO late!! I figured better late than never so here's my assessment of the Winter 2016 box. This is a great subscription if you like home items and if you've got a slightly edgy style. Although, I'm not totally into skulls and metal but I still get a kick out of receiving this box so you'll have to judge for yourself. I've found it fairly easy to incorporate what is sent into my life.
One of the FANTASTIC things that Happy Rebel Box has been doing is allowing choices for certain items. So you get to pick your favorite color or your favorite scent. It's been wonderful to be able to do that. Everything has always arrived exactly as I've requested, as well, so that's a super plus.

The Cost: $100/quarterly

What You Get: Each box will contain 4-6 items that will vary box to box, so you will never receive the same types of items repeatedly. Each box could contain jewelry, fashion accessories, home decor, beauty products, as well as other various lifestyle items that fit the collection of the box as well as the Happy Rebel modern and edgy style.

Thompson Ferrier Lidded Jar Candle- This thing is gigantic and it weighs so much you could probably knock someone out with it. I chose a gunmetal color with the Fireside scent. It smells like campfire and I love it. My secret joy was the lid! I loved having a lid for my candle. The wax itself was black which was kind of weird but whatever.
Value: $80
D.L. & Co. Skull Box Matches- This brand has shown up several times in these boxes and they do seem to have a market for golden skull goodness. I don't hate skulls and I do love long matches so I'm keeping these. I've gifted some of my previous skull stuff to my best friend who lives for skulls and metal.
Value: $12 (whoa, seriously!?)
Minka Inhouse Handmade Geometric Throw Blanket- I chose the gray version but there was also black and beige. This is made of wool and while it's not super large, it's big enough to be a pretty accent. I like the geometric prints on it. It's made of wool so I'm sort of afraid to wash it?
Value: $80
Silvermoon Cantina- A speckled ceramic mug that says "Treat Yo'self" on it. I really wish it was camp mug and made of tin! Oh well, it's still perfect for hot chocolate. I'm not a big fan of the saying on it either. But maybe I'm too prissy?
Value: $25

Cocoa Sante Organic Hot Cocoa- I will never say no to hot chocolate. Ever. It's one of my favorite things and this is a dark chocolate version! Yuummmm! I haven't actually tried this one yet because I'm determined to polish of a few that I already have. I tend to have hot chocolate every night while I read.
Value $3
UrbApothecary Vanilla Body Butter- Made with cocoa butter, mango butter and sunflower oil and infused with vanilla, this also has beeswax in it. That means smooth soft skin protected from the environment. I'm not big on body butter but I do love the smell of vanilla so this makes it difficult to keep the lid on. Mmmm!
Value: $18

VERDICT: First, I love that I got to choose items I knew I would love to begin with. These are quarterly boxes and cost the same as the Rachel Zoe Box of Style but the contents are SO different that it's hard not to just get both without even thinking. Next, this box has products and brands no other box has. If you're an addict like me, that kind of thing is a big deal. Definitely a bonus!

Now for the Spring 2017 box, we have some spoilers! The theme is "Kitchen Gems" (remember how I said this box is good if you like things for the home?!). Here's what it says:

"You'll receive beautiful pieces for your kitchen that are both decorative and functional.  Whether you are an avid chef, or a delivery dialing pro, you will enjoy our elevated kitchen essentials."

And here's the first spoiler! By the way, you get to choose your color!
Our first item reveal from our spring box is this faceted acrylic bowl designed by Adva Yehuday of ShapeMixer.  Use it in the kitchen as a fruit bowl or serving piece, or anywhere in your home as chic catchall.  Available in grey, black, and white.

Members can select the color of their choice beforeFriday, March 3rd.

I bolded the extra awesome part about getting to choose your color. I picked white. In reality I should have chosen black because it would fit my kitchen with it's blue pearl granite. But I hate my kitchen because it's too dark. So, white it is! In hopes that someday, I will get a kitchen that isn't a gloomy black and blue.

If you would like to sign up for Happy Rebel Box, you can do that here. Use code BB10 for $10 off the first box of a quarterly subscription.
