PB&Jealous Sweet Welcome Box Review plus $10 Coupon Code

I can't tell you how excited I am for PB&Jealous! It's a subscription that sends jams, jellies, peanut butter and honeys every month! I subscribed hoping I would get February but instead I received a Welcome Box. I'm SO pleased with everything inside. I love the idea of a Welcome Box especially if it means getting to try so many different things.

Because I knew this box was coming, I went to the store and bought everything for biscuits. My anticipation levels were very, very high. Now that I'm writing up the review, I'm salivating just thinking about the excellent jams I discovered in this box!
There are so many options to choose from, as well! Not only can you choose the size of your box (Mini or Big) but you can also choose whether you want only sweet, sweet goodness or if you want some savory tastes mixed in!
I chose the Large box with only Sweet stuff and I did make use of their offer to modify the box for allergies. Grape jam/jelly is a migraine trigger for me so I asked for substitutions to be made in case there were any. I absolutely love the option and the follow-through was perfect. How and why my brain doesn't like grape is a mystery to me but it's been my bane since I was about seven years old. So you can imagine how happy the ability to request a modification was.

The Cost: $34.95/month plus $5 shipping for the Big Box, $26.95/month plus $5 shipping for Mini.

What You Get: The Big Box will have 5-8 artisan products, an average of over $40 in value. The Mini has 3-5 artisan products, an average of $30 in value. Both boxes will include a handcrafted artisan nut butter and a delicious, all natural jam, jelly or preserve. Additional products can be anything from honey and fruit butters to syrups and organic snacks.

WildFriends Foods Classic Creamy Peanut Butter- This is a gloriously peanutty butter with just the right about of salt. Two ingredients (peanuts and salt) make this a great natural base on your toast ready and waiting for the jam to go on top. It does need to be stirred like any other natural peanut butter, it's got a slight grit and a little runny. It's delicious!

The Jam Stand Classic Strawberry Jam- Simple ingredients make this perfect! It's even got reduced sugar which is nice. It makes everything more strawberry-tastic! Ingredients are just Strawberries, Sugar, Lemon Juice, Pectin, Citric Acid. I like the texture. It's not too drippy and not too thick. Spreads perfectly on toast and even better over the WildFriends peanut butter.
Wild Friends Coconut Chocolate Peanut Butter- Three packets of dessert heaven! Maybe you're supposed to use these with something but I ate it right out of the package. Slowly. Savoring all the chocolatey coconut flavor. So good! Also, OMG, I just looked this company up and they have Gingerbread Peanut Butter! And Pumpkin Spice Peanut Butter! oh, dear... I really don't think I can resist...
Jam Stand Drunken Monkey Banana Jam- Okay, I was really looking forward to trying banana jam! It just sounds so strange and interesting. This version has bananas and a splash of rum and lime. I didn't particularly care for it, though. I like bananas so I thought I'd love it. However, I think it might have been the way I ate it. If this was mixed into oatmeal, it would be absolute heaven. So that's what I recommend. *runs to make oatmeal*
Bayfield Apple Co. Pear Butter- This is the only one I haven't tested yet. Mainly because now I have a million things open that need to be eaten. I don't know what pear butter is but I'll be finding out soon. This butter is made from pears which are pureed then cooked in juice from steamed apples with a pinch of ginger. No sugar or sweetener is added. It sounds amaaazing!
Offbeat Gourmet Blueberry Lemon Fruit Spread- All I can say is that this stuff is pure heaven in a jar. Honestly. How does something so simple taste so unbelievably good? This was a substitution for me because of my grape issues. I'm thankful that I have them now because missing this one product would have been an absolute shame. Here's the problem. I have NO IDEA how to get more! It doesn't appear to still be sold on their website (although they do have some FABULOUS other options-- Blackberry Sage Lime?? Raspberry Cacao?!) and I don't live in Pennsylvania!

VERDICT: The BEST! Everything in this box was great tasting. The curation, the variety and the attention to allergies makes for a perfect and stunningly delicious box. I can't wait for my next one. Seriously, so much goodness. I love the fact that small businesses are included, that there's an all-natural lean and that both unusual and classic flavors are featured. It really makes for a taste adventure. I had so much fun trying everything.

If you would like to sign up for PB&Jealous, you can do that here. Use code JEALOUS10 to get $10 off your first box. That works for BOTH the Mini and the Big Box! Be aware that there will be some variation in the Welcome Box as products rotate in and out through the months. You'll also receive different products if you choose the Sweet & Savory version. Based on my experience, I can pretty much guarantee you'll fall in love with something!

You can purchase a box similar to this Welcome Box in the PB&Jealous Shop as a one time purchase if you don't want to commit to a subscription.
