SleekTreats January 2017 Subscription Box Review and Coupon

SleekTreats is a subscriptions catering to those looking to reduce the amount of sugar in their lifestyles. The goal is for you to be able to indulge guilt free and enjoy what you're eating. Everything is tested by the curators for tastiness.
I've never tried a box like this so it was a fun experience to unbox it. I do love sugary goodies (especially hard candies) so I don't know if I could go completely sugar free. I was surprised by how tasty a few of these were, too.

The Cost: $34.99/month

What You Get: Each month you'll receive 5-8 sugar free treats like chocolates, cookies, hard candies, jellies and more.

HI-Fibar Pumpkin Spice Orange Granola- Made with pumpkin seeds, gluten free oatmeal, sunflower seeds and orange drops, this is vegan, high fiber, low carb and has no added sugar. The sweetener is made from monkfruit juice.
Value: $4
Coco Polo 70% Dark Chcocolate with Cocoa Nibs- I love dark chocolate and I love crunchy bits so this had my name written allll over it. This is sweetened using Stevia, is gluten free, all natural and has no GMO's.
Value: $5.99

Xyloburst Xylitol Fruit Sours- These are small orange flavored candies that dissolve in your mouth. They're sweetened with xylitol and are slightly sour.
Value: $3
Xyloburst Lollipops- I received four of these. The flavor is not very prominent, sadly. These use polyglycital syrup, xylitol and stevia as sweeteners.
Value: $2

Tru Chocolate Dark Chocolate Wafers- This chocolate is made from organic, fairly traded, non- GMO cocoa and uses xylitol as a sweetener. It's quite tasty!
Value: $3
Chocorite Chocolate Crispy Caramel- These were so good. I meant to only eat one but once I started, I had to eat them both. I love crispy rice and caramel. So they taste good and they have a whopping 13g of fiber. I wished there were more.
Value: $1

ThinkThin High Protein Bar Cookies and Cream- My husband likes these kinds of bars. This one is gluten free, kosher and sugar free (it uses maltitol) while packing in 20 grams of protien.
Value: $2

VERDICT: While this box had a great variety of items and would surely have something for everyone, I find the value leaves a lot to be desired. I searched the values online and yes, they're mostly part of multipacks, which I tried to account for. It's a great premise and SleekTreats would be a valuable addition to the lifestyle of someone who needs to cut out sugar by providing access to new and interesting products. Whether that is worth the cost or not would be a personal decision. For myself, I would like to see more products included either in the form of multiples or greater variety.

If you would like to sign up for SleekTreats, you can do that here. Use code VDAY15 for 15% off your subscription if you sign up during February.
