Winc Wines Monthly Delivery Service plus Coupon Code

Winc is for wine lovers. This is a subscription dealing solely with wines, delivering new ones of your choice every month. You'll have access to wines you may not be able to find near you which makes every box an adventure.

When you start your sign up, you'll be asked a series of questions designed to figure out your palate and recommend specific wines. This was somewhat difficult because my husband and I prefer different wines. He likes reds with earthiness and full body. I like whites, acidic and tart. However it was a lot of fun to go through what was available and choose.

The Cost: Monthly deliveries start at $39.99 for three bottles plus shipping.

What You Get: At least three bottles of wine of your choice. If you forget to choose, you will be sent bottles based on your profile.

Your wines arrive in a handled cardboard box which make it easy to lug inside the house. Delivery is fast, too. I feel like I got the email that my wines had shipped and then they were at my door! Always a plus when you don't have to wait ages for something fun.
The packaging is VERY careful and secure. Winc prides itself on it's great, safe packing method and I have to say, they did an excellent job figuring out how to transport wine without much room for mishap.
Every box includes The Winc List. It's a heavy duty book of all the wines featured that month, giving you an idea of what each wine you selected is like and giving you hints at what you might want to choose in the future.

Here's the interesting thing... The wines on consist of both imported and domestic wines made in partnership with some of the top winemakers in the world and wines they make ourselves. So this is the only way you'll get ahold of some of these wines. So Winc makes some of their own wines, too!

For the purposes of review, I chose two reds and two whites. I do not profess to be a wine connoisseur of any type although I feel like this shipment could make for a fun Girl's Night In. :)
Wonderful Wine Co.- "With juicy flavors of lychee, elderflower and white flower, this 2015 White Blend of Muscat, Viognier and Gew├╝rztraminer is an off dry white, which means it falls somewhere in between dry and sweet."
Pacificana Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon 2015- My husband, who loves cabs, was surprised by how well he liked this. After making several smart remarks about Lodi, he tried it and enjoyed it, taking back his words. Winc says "you’ll experience corresponding complexity, fruit-forward flavors of redcurrant and black cherry, mouth-filling tannins, and a dry finish. "
Passarola Vinho Branco 2015- This is a white wine blend from Portugal. Light, crisp and acidic. I haven't popped the cork on this one yet so I can't give a personal opinion, uninformed as it may be. :)

Matchlock Cabernet Sauvignon- "Aged in neutral and French oak, Matchlock reveals scents of black cherry, ripe strawberry and baking spice, for a full-bodied, masculine, structured wine that exhibits a touch more bright fruit and acid than its counterparts in Napa Valley."

VERDICT: While I maybe can't tell you how perfect every wine is. I can attest to the quality of the subscription itself. The wines run around a reasonable $13.99 each although there are some fancier ones that hit $25 but for the most part these are very affordable wines. With such a variety to chose from, you'll always be able to try something new and sneak in some old favorites while you're at it. You'll also get a 10% case discount if you order twelve bottles, which makes them even cheaper.

Cancellation is easy using their Live Chat feature. If you get a wine you hate, contact them and they'll refund you and help find you something you'll like better! Plus for every wine you try and then rate on their site, you'll get cash credit!

You can also skip a month any time you wish without any repercussions. That ability is invaluable in any subscription. I wish they ALL offered this kind of modification.

If you're a wine lover, I can't see any reason NOT to try it unless you aren't into the types of wines they feature. Especially with Winc's willingness to refund for wines that don't make the cut.

As a subscription box addict, I heartily approve of wine deliveries! If you would like to sign up to receive your own Winc shipments, you can sign up here! Get $20 off your first box, too, which is a rockin' deal!

$22 Promo - Get 4 Bottles of Wine for only $30 + Complimentary Shipping!
