Snakku January 2017 Premium Japanese Snack Subscription and Coupon

The January 2017 Snakku box might be my favorite one so far! It was so full of delicious, sweet treats! This month focused on snacks from Kobe which is Japan's sixth largest city. It's always been an important port city for international trade and all sorts of things were introduced via Kobe that hadn't been seen before during the 19th century.
Besides excellent snacks, Kobe also is famous for it's beef, some of the oldest sake breweries int he world and the renowned Arima Onsen hot spring resort. You learn all sorts of things on the included information card. It's pretty fun learning about each snack.

The Cost: $38.99/month for the Snakku Box. $15.95/month for the Tasting Box.

What You Get: Get a collection of 10-15 hand-picked snacks that you can only find in Japan,
along with a selection of familiar & delicious Japanese snacks delivered every month.

Illumicrate Book Subscription Review Summer 2016

It's been awhile since I've had my jaw drop when opening a box. Illumicrate is a UK based book subscription box that features newly released books every quarter. I'm most thrilled that this is based out of London so lucky European readers can have the same kind of fun I do when I open boxes like this.
This box was packed with so much gorgeous stuff. I'm pretty sure I squeeeed upon opening. Then finding TWO books inside, one of them straight from my TBR, was even better! The books in your Illumicrate will be the UK versions of the books since it's the origin point. They'll be recently released books to try and prevent sending something you may already have. A variety of genres could be included but it does seem to rely on Young Adult. I am totally okay with that.
The contents of the box are on an info card with a little extra tidbits about what you've received. I love the crisp, clean design.

The Cost: £29.99/quarterly (~$39 US). Shipping is free within the UK and £3.99-£13.99 worldwide.

What You Get: Each crate will contain a newly released book in a variety of genres. Besides a fantastic book, you'll also receive bookish items like bookmarks, stationery, jewellery, accessories or other small bookswag items.

Doki Doki Crate August 2016 Review and Coupon

Doki Doki Crate is a new type of subscription from Japan Crate. Instead of candy, though, the Doki Doki box is chock full of kawaii items. Really, really cute, adorable and irresistible things. I actually wished for a moment that I was going back to school so that I could use some of the goodies they sent in this August box.
The theme is, of course, "Back to School" and the contents are sure to cutesy up whatever you would normally take with you. Also, subscribers should be very happy to note that all future boxes will have a tshirt! If you haven't updated your account with your size, hurry up and do it!
Every box comes with a mini mag that reads from back to front (like they do in Japan!). It has an ongoing comic about Tomomi-san who curates the Doki Doki boxes, descriptions of the products, contest information and little tidbits and background about included characters.

The Cost: $30/month

What You Get: Receive 5-7 fully licensed, authentic kawaii items ranging from exclusive shirts & plushies to collectibles, household goods, apparel and more.

Japan Candy Box December 2015 Review and Giveaway

Japan Candy Box is an international subscription that sends Japanese candy to your door every month. That means no matter where on earth you live, you too, can have tasty Japanese treats delivered.
Each box is a riot of colored wrappers. While there is a list of what you received, it doesn't tell you much about each candy so it's definitely a taste-adventure. I try to taste them all. Sometimes they're so good, they don't make it to the photo stage. Whoops.

The Cost: $19.90/month (shipping is free and international)

What You Get: Each month you will receive 8-10 quirky Japanese sweets & snacks.

Beauteque Mask Maven October 2015 Review "Brunch" and Coupon Code

The Beauteque Mask Maven subscription is one of the best ways to get a plethora of sheet masks delivered to your door. There's always something interesting and fun, with an assortment of Asian beauty brands represented.

Since I like finding new brands to love, the October 2015 "Brunch" month is especially good for me. It's also all sheet masks this time around. Nine of them! I think I like getting just sheet masks but I can't deny that it's also refreshing to get some wash offs and foot masks, too. You'll basically get some of everything over the course of your subscription and I appreciate that.

The Cost: $15/month plus shipping (ships internationally)

What You Get: Each month you will receive nine to eleven masks of any type or combination, including sheet masks, wash off masks, body masks, foot masks, hair masks, nail masks, etc.

GreekPack October 2015 Snack Subscription Box Review

GreekPack sends snacks and treats directly from Greece each month. I think that's awesome! The October box, sadly, was somewhat of a disappointment.  I don't know if it has to do with the issues Greece is currently facing or what but I didn't feel the value was there for this particular box.

I've been willing to overlook a value issue because of my own bias. It's been really nice to get some Greek foods I haven't had in years and to just get a peek at my food heritage. I do have to admit that the snacks don't meet the value threshold.

The Cost: $19.99/month

What You Get: You will receive six to eight carefully selected Greek treats and snacks.

So Susan Lip Love September 2015 Beauty Subscription Box Review

So Susan is a London based beauty subscription that delivers worldwide. This is a great option for those who live in countries that don't know how awesome subscription boxes are yet. Since SoSusan is a cosmetics company you will find primarily their own brand in this box. They do have ties to Jelly Pong Pong, as well, since the owner of SoSusan also started JPP.
It's actually a lot of fun and a very reasonable price. The first month, you will be charged shipping on top of the regular cost but subsequent months will not be charged for shipping. I ended up getting a 3 month subscription because they had a pop up deal for a free blush if I spent $30 on their site. Yeah, I'm a sucker. :)

The Cost: $15.95/month

What You Get: Three So Susan and/or Jelly Pong Pong products plus a bonus makeup item and bonus accessory in a canvas cosmetic bag.

Beauteque Head-To-Toe "Skinfood" Bag Review

Beauteque is a US-based Korean beauty retailer. They sell all sorts of Korean brands of skincare and makeup. Each month they also curate a Head-to-Toe bag with a theme and at a very reasonable price. This month the theme is "Skinfood" and all the products are from the Skinfood brand.

This is not a subscription. This is a one time purchase and there will be no re-curring charges. You can however get a Beauteque Monthly BB Bag or Mask Maven which are monthly. You can see those here on this website.

The Head to Toe bag is a curated collection of kbeauty products that changes every month. Once it sells out, it's gone forever so if you see one you like, you need to jump on it.

The bags usually range from about $25 to $30 depending on the contents. Beauteque ships internationally with a fixed shipping fee depending on where you live. They usually have a spoiler for a few of the items but the rest is a mystery (until you read this).  This particular bag is $25 plus shipping.

GreekPack August 2015 Snack Subscription Review and Coupon Code

GreekPack is a snack subscription that sends you snacks from Greece. Meaning that your package will arrive with Greek postage and a Thessaloniki mailing address. I think that is part of the fun. I don't tend to be super adventurous with my snacks. I prefer all the sugar and fat and not so much the strange.

However GreekPack has been a lot of fun. The July box was fantastic and had one of my new favorite things in it. Too bad I can't find them anywhere. The Chalvadopita was nomalicious.

This box didn't have a stand out but it did have a little uniqueness to it. It has both sweet and savory which is something I always appreciate in a snack box.

The Cost: $19.99/month

What You Get: You will receive six to eight carefully selected Greek treats and snacks.

Loot Crate July 2015 Heroes2 Review and Coupon Code

The July 2015 Loot Crate blew me away. As I pulled out each thing, I was oooing and aaaahing. I was a happy girl. I think this might be the best Loot Crate since Adventure time. And there's not even a t-shirt!

The Cost: $19.95/month, including the shipping.

What You Get: Awesome gamer/geek loot! Sometimes T-shirts (like this month!) Plenty of comment inducing collectibles to surround your computer desk with, all delivered right to your door.

Beauteque Mask Maven June 2015 Review and Coupon Code

Beauteque has more than just their BB Bags, they have Mask Maven! Every month they'll send you an assortment of 9-11 masks. You can receive any kind of mask. From sheets to wash offs to foot peels, Mask Maven could send anything. This June 2015 Mask Maven, though, has only sheet masks and I'm totally okay with that.

One thing I love about this subscription is that they send a wide variety of brands and "flavors" of masks. Plus, if you find one you love, they're usually brands that you can acquire easily. Since part of the fun is finding new things that you now cannot live without, this is pretty perfect.

This review is a little late because my regular mailman went on vacation. He normally brings everything to my door but the sub put it in the mailbox. And I'm lazy when it comes to checking the mailbox because my regular mailman is so awesome. Seriously. I love him. I see him so often he's probably my new best friend.

The Cost: $15/month plus shipping. Ships internationally.

What You Get: Each month you will receive nine to eleven masks of any type or combination, including sheet masks, wash off masks, body masks, foot masks, hair masks, nail masks... you get the idea.

GreekPack July 2015 Subscription Box Review and Coupon Code

When GreekPack offered me the opportunity to review their new subscription box I jumped at the chance. My heritage is largely Greek from my mothers side and my great grandparents both came through Ellis Island from Athens, Greece back in the day. My great grandfather was a merchant marine and his name was Konstantinos Nicholapapa Zepgrapho Economethos Karadoulos. How's that for a mouthful?! Apparently the registrar on Ellis Island thought so, too, and his new last name (along with every other Greek that came through at the time) became Nicholas.
So when I got my GreekPack and realized that it ACTUALLY SHIPPED from Greece (!!) I was pretty excited. Authentic Greek tastiness?! Yes, please! This is the July box so if you order now, this is the box you will get.

The Cost: $19.99/month including worldwide shipping

What You Get: You will receive six to eight carefully selected Greek treats and snacks.

Beauteque May 2015 BB Bag Review!

Beauteque has a monthly subscription box that they call the Beauteque Beauty Bag (BB Bag) and it's always got an unusual collection of Asian beauty makeup and skincare products in it. I think this particular month's bag might be my favorite BB Bag since they first started subscriptions in January. They have two subscription offerings right now. One is this BB bag which I'm reviewing now but the second is Mask Maven and is all about masks.  You can read up about Mask Maven here.

I love Korean skincare (although not so much the makeup) and Beauteque is a fun way to get it delivered every month. They send not only Korean brands but also Taiwanese and Japanese as well, so there's a pretty wide variety of things that can pop up in a bag. You'll also get a cute little makeup bag to go with everything. The makeup bags are never the same and for the most part they're super useful with pockets and everything. This particular one doesn't have pockets but it's my favorite shape. I like it when they have a bottom that helps them sit up while you're digging around in it.

The Cost: $24/monthly plus shipping (ships internationally)

What You Get: At least 7 full size products in a combination of beauty, skincare and lifestyle items with a focus on Asian beauty brands.

Beauteque April BB Bag Review

The April 2015 Beauteque BB Bag theme is 'Mad for Plaid' but really nothing except the bag had anything to do with plaid so it's kind of a strange theme to pick. I can think of several far more fitting to the actual contents.

Beauteque is a purveyor of Asian beauty products and supplies but they also have a separate website called BeautequeMonthly where they also sell subscription bags. They have two subscription offerings right now. One is this BB bag which I'm reviewing now but the second is Mask Maven and is all about masks.  You can read up about Mask Maven here.

The Cost: $24 plus shipping (ships internationally so prices vary on shipping).

What You Get: At least 7 full size products in a combination of beauty, skincare and lifestyle items with a focus on Asian beauty brands.

Beauteque Mask Maven April 2015 ~ Asian Beauty Mask Subscription

You may already be familiar with BeautequeMonthly's Asian beauty subscription called the BB Bag but they have now introduced a new subscription that's all about masks! The Mask Maven subscription sends 9-11 different kinds of masks each month. You can get anything from sheet masks, nail masks, hair masks, wash off masks and/or foot masks. If it's a mask of any kind, it can show up in your Mask Maven bag!
I I have a fairly large collection of masks and definitely have my favorites but this is a fantastic way to replenish your mask stash and discover new, interesting brands.  Beauteque sources not just from Korea but also from Japan and Taiwan so there's a pretty wide array to choose from when they're packing bags.  I am pretty impressed with what I was sent.

If you subscribe after the 10th of the month, you'll receive next month's bag so if you sign up now, you will be getting May's bag (not this one). Once you've signed up, billing occurs on the 20th of each month and start shipping that same date.

The Cost: $15/month plus shipping. Ships internationally.

What You Get: Nine to 11 Asian beauty masks of all types sent to your door every month.

Beauteque Monthly BB Bag Asian Beauty Subscription March 2015 Review

Beauteque is a purveyor of Asian beauty and skincare products here in the US.  They have a monthly subscription bag packed with skincare and beauty items that is available to the US, Canada and Europe.  Besides having an online store filled with Asian beauty, they've also got a subscription site!

Each month you can get a bag of Asian beauty and lifestyle products sent to your door.  I find that it's reasonably priced and the products tend to be fun.  Products aren't necessarily all Asian but they are definitely the majority.  Each bag usually will include a lifestyle item of some kind, as well.

The Cost: $24/month plus shipping (Ships Internationally to Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan)

What You Get: A combination of 7 full size beauty, skincare and lifestyle products with a focus on Asian beauty.
